Following on our introductory post about proposed changes to the Future Land Use section of the Walton County Comprehensive Plan (“Comp Plan”), we are continuing the review with recommendations to the Transportation section.
We heard several comments and ideas from you through surveys, emails, social media posts, and during the planning charrette about transportation.
As such, you will see several recommendations to improve transportation in Walton County, addressing issues such as traffic congestion, road connectivity, pedestrian and multi-modal safety, and options for community-based transit.
