As Walton County has grown and continues to grow, addressing the need for housing that is affordable and attainable, as well as ensuring adequate space for recreation and quality of life, are important goals of the Plan for Walton 2040 project.
In these two sections of the Comp Plan recommendations, we recommend several planning and policy updates to expand housing options for residents and citizens, preserve neighborhood character, and ensure adequate public space and recreational areas for residents and homeowners, particularly in future development plans.
